Art and Personal Photography

Advanced Course

How can you express yourself through photography? When does photography become a documentary medium? In this course, participants will explore different strategies of appropriating the world through photography. The focus is on questions of perception, subjectivity, reality, and an examination of contemporary positions in artistic photography.

Participants will develop their own long-term photographic projects from their personal experiences, interests and approaches. These projects will be discussed and further developed in the course. In the process, both the photographic approach will be refined and appropriate forms of presentation will be found. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to explore their personal photography professionally and thoroughly.
